Walking Tour of Community Food Gardens from Stepney-Shadwell

Meeting: Stepney City Farm

We will explore five community food gardens in Stepney and Shadwell. The tour will highlight not only what is grown, but who grows it — and how you can get involved through volunteering, workshops, and online support. Projects include:

  • Gardens in housing estates

  • Gardens by GP surgeries and railroads

  • Community orchards

  • Guerrilla gardening initiatives

  • Faith-based growing projects

Have you ever wanted to join a community garden but not sure where to start? Are you interested in growing your own food and supporting healthy ecosystems in Tower Hamlets?

This is an opportunity to get your hands in the soil, support a local community garden, learn new skills.

Children and young people welcome but kids under 8 years old will need to be supervised. Dogs on leads are also welcome.

Community Garden Revival on Lark Row

Join us for a community gardening session at Lark Road E2, where we'll be working together to rejuvenate and strengthen a local growing space.

We'll be repairing raised beds, pruning overgrown plants, creating signage and tackling a range of jobs to help bring the garden back to life. Every pair of hands makes a difference!
